The Oath-Taking Chart and the Future of the NDA Government: A Research

The NDA government took the oath on 9th June 2024 , at 19:23:18 in New Delhi, with Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi making history by leading the government for the third consecutive term. Since the BJP fell short of a majority by thirty-two seats, the government is a coalition (NDA), and everyone is eager to know its future. Will it complete the full term of five years? Let us evaluate the quality of oath taking chart with classical references from the Vriddha Vashistha Samhita. I will give the chapter number and Shloka number, and provide the relevance in oath-taking chart.

According to the Rajyaabhishek Adhyay (Chapter 33, Shloka 4) of Vridh Vashistha Samhita, in the Shrishodaya Lagna (Gemini, Scorpio, Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Aquarius) aspected by benefics, the oath-taking ceremony provides stability to the king's throne. It's important to note that this condition was fully satisfied in the oath-taking ceremony chart of the NDA at 7:23:18 PM in New Delhi on June 9, 2024.

However, Shloka 5th[2nd Reference ] of the same chapter prohibits the oath during Rikta Tithi(4th, 9th, and 14th lunar days). Despite this, the ceremony took place on the Chaturthi of Shukla Paksha, when the Moon was close to the Sun so weak . Additionally; the Moon[Cancer sign] was in Kemdrum Yoga, aspected by the 6th Lord Mars, indicating that the government would be endowed with courage and cleverness. A weak Moon due to Paksha Balam and Kemdrum , as the 9th Lord, particularly when influenced by the aspect of the 6th Lord Mars, can indeed indicate challenges in multiple domains. These challenges may encompass health issues stemming from disease, labor disputes, management of stray animals, SupremeCourt litigation and vulnerability in the ministry of foreign affairs. Additionally, ministries involved in airlines, shipping, tourism, and foreign trade may encounter specific difficulties. Furthermore, problems related to religious institutions such as temples or mosques may also arise.

According to the principles outlined in the scriptures, benefic planets are esteemed when positioned in Kendra (1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th houses) and Trikone (5th and 9th houses), while malefic planets are praised when located in the 3rd, 6th, and 11th houses, as stated in Shloka8th[Refrence3]. Additionally, Mars is praised in the 6th house for being a valiant king with substantial wealth, as per Shloka 9th[Refrence 4].

In this context, with the Lagna Lord Mars positioned in the 6th house in its own sign, it suggests that the government will exert significant efforts towards the economic upliftment of the nation. Additionally, there will be a focus on strengthening the armed forces, police, managing state loans, and promoting manufacturing and industrial progress. The service class [jobs] is also likely to receive attention. . Furthermore, with the 2nd Lord Jupiter and the 11th Lord Mercury aspecting the Lagna, along with three benefics positioned in the 7th house from Lagna, it forms the Adhi Yoga and Vasuman Yoga. With Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus positioned in the 11th house from the Moon, it augurs well for gains, prosperity, and overall fulfillment of desires, as these planets contribute positively to the lunar influences, fostering a favorable environment for growth and success.

As per Shloka 2 [Reference 5], Chapter 42 of Vriddha Vasistha Samhita states that the presence of the Anuradha constellation on a Sunday constitutes Mrityu Yoga, which indicates a death. In the oath-taking chart of Sunday , the Moon is not only in Chaturthi but Lagna in the Anuradha constellation, hinting towards some tragic event [death]  . The Shloka40 [Reference 6] of the same chapter prohibits the combination of Sunday with Vishakha, Anuradha, Mrigashira, Krittika, Jyestha, and Ashlesha constellations. Interestingly, in the oath-taking chart of Sunday, the Lagna is in Anuradha, the Sun is in Mrigashira,Venus in Mrigashira and Jupiter is in Krittika constellation . The Anuradha constellation holds favorable associations, particularly as it pertains to our honorable Prime Minister, with both his Lagna and Moon positioned in Anuradha. This alignment suggests auspicious influences in the context of his leadership and personal affairs, according to astrological interpretations. Despite its association with the Prime Minister, the combination in the oath-taking chart contradicts the guidelines provided in the text. This discrepancy adds an interesting layer to the astrological interpretation and highlights the complexities involved in applying ancient texts to contemporary situations.

The Shloka 86[Reference 7] of the same chapter[42] suggests that the Taurus sign is the maas (month) Shunya (zero) Rashi (sign) in the lunar month of Jyestha , indicating it should be avoided as it may lead to loss of wealth and lineage (clan). Interestingly, the oath-taking ceremony occurred in the Jyestha month, and Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter were positioned in Taurus. This alignment raises concerns according to the guidelines provided in the text, as it suggests potential risks to both wealth and lineage.

The Lagna Lord in the 6th house in its own sign Aries is very strong and further strengthens the Lagna by its aspect. The 6th house and Mars, representing the Police (Home Ministry) and armed forces (Defense Ministry), will be the strongest ministries of this government, imparting stability to the coalition. However, the aspect of Saturn from the 4th house, affecting Mars and the Lagna Scorpio , is a concern. Saturn and the 4th house represent various vital aspects such as farmers, Agriculture, the labor class, land crops, the agriculture industry, weather conditions, real estate, democracy, democratic institutions, and the judicial system. Since the 4th house represents the north direction and Saturn is positioned in its own sign, there may be some pressure or agitation from the farmers of North India on this new government. The government's focus will be on the armed forces [Agniveer], labor class, medical and paramedical services, police, as well as state loans[Special Package],militancy ,jobs, and debts.

With Mars and Saturn both in their own signs, they exert significant influence, each with its unique characteristics. Mars signifies energy, action, and assertiveness, while Saturn represents restriction, discipline, and challenges. When these planets aspect the Lagna (the first house in Vedic astrology, representing the self and the overall outlook of the individual or entity), they can significantly impact the functioning and stability of the government.

The aspect of Mars and Saturn on the Lagna suggests a combination of assertive actions and restrictive forces affecting the government's leadership and overall direction. Mars' influence may drive the government to take bold actions, possibly leading to assertive policies or decisions. However, Saturn's influence imposes limitations, obstacles, and challenges that hinder progress or create barriers to achieving goals. Furthermore, the absence of any benefic influenceon Mars and Saturn , suggests that there are no mitigating or balancing factors to alleviate the potential negative effects of Mars and Saturn's influence. Benefic planets typically bring harmony, positivity, and favorable outcomes. Their absence indicates that the challenges posed by Mars and Saturn may not be easily overcome or balanced by positive influences. Though benefic planets like Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus are aspecting the Lagna from 7th House ,Mercury being the 8th Lord in the 7th house is undesirable for the stability of coalition , as the 7th house and its Lord represent the coalition partners. Additionally, Venus [7th Lord] is deeply combust with the 10th Lord Sun (representing Government and Authority). Jupiter's influence, being neither combust nor associated with malefic planets, is especially significant. Its impact on the Lagna, Navmansha Lagna, and Dasmansha Lagna indicates a positive influence on various aspects of life. Despite Jupiter being positioned in the sign of an enemy, its placement in its own sign Pisces in Navmansha enhances its positive influence. This suggests that Jupiter's beneficial effects may still manifest strongly, without significant hindrances. The 2nd house, governed by Jupiter, pertains to finance, revenue, judiciary (ruled solely by Jupiter), and national wealth. With Jupiter's influence, there may be opportunities for financial growth, stability in income, fair judicial proceedings, and preservation of national resources. Regarding international affairs and alliances represented by the 7th house, Jupiter's presence suggests diplomatic skills, the potential for forming fruitful partnerships, and a focus on fostering harmonious relations on the global stage. In terms of the 5th house, which signifies creativity, education, entertainment, and sports, Jupiter's influence indicates opportunities for advancements in these areas, as well as a focus on nurturing talent and promoting intellectual pursuits.

Since both Sun[10th Lord, Summer Solstice ], representing the Prime Minister, and Jupiter[2nd Lord], representing the Finance Minister, are aspecting the Lagna, they further contribute to the stability of the coalition. Although the Lagna Lord Mars and the 7th Lord Venus are not enemies, their placement 2-12 from each other is not desirable for the stability of the coalition. Though only 18 Astakvarga points in the 8th house are less than the 24 A.V. points in Lagna, it is a strong point for the survival of this government. According to the Ashtakvargasystem, the Lagna has 24 points, while the 7th house has 27 points, indicating that coalition partners may seek to dictate terms. Furthermore, the 10th house, with 25 Ashtakvarga points, is less influential compared to the 7th house, which has 27 points, going against the spirit of coalition dynamics. However, Sun, the 10th lord representing the Prime Minister, is notably strong in Shadbalam. The presence of Sun in the 7th house is considered undesirable for a coalition government. Since Venus[7th Lord ] is deeply combust with the 10th Lord Sun, both the glamour world and coalition partners may feel the burn from the government's actions.Comparatively, all benefic planets are very weak in Shadbalam, whereas the malefics are very strong. The weakness of both Venus and Moon in the chart is not a good indication for female individuals.

Taking all factors into consideration, the current coalition government may face a serious threat due to the influence of Saturn [Democratic institutions, Farmers] and Mars [Police, armed forces]. Additionally, the presence of the Mrityu Yoga may also have an effect on the current coalition . With Jupiter and Saturn aspecting the Lagna, certain judicial judgments may seriously impact the government. For the survival of the coalition, some sort of restructuring may be required due to the influence of Mars and Saturn on Lagna [Surgery], including the addition of new partners to ensure its viability, due to the aspect of Jupiter [expansion] on Lagna.
