The French snap elections are approaching, but as an astrologer, I'm hesitating to write about the birth chart of the French president. His birth details are highly reliable, rated AA on AstroDatabank, a trusted source. I hesitate to analyze the French president's chart because I can't see strong Rajyogas (auspicious combinations indicating power and success) from the Capricorn Lagna and Aquarius Navamsa chart.
Some facts that I find difficult to justify with this chart are his unconventional marriage where his spouse is twenty-three years older, the couple's lack of children, and most importantly, his attainment of the presidency, which typically requires strong Rajyogas in the chart. The chart raises doubts regarding several other facts: the date of marriage, being baptized Catholic at age 12, becoming an inspector in the finance ministry in 2004, and reports stating Macron earned €2 million from December 2010 to May 2012, with official documents showing nearly €3 million earned between 2009 and 2013. In September 2008, he left his government job to join an investment bank , adding another detail that doesn't easily align with the chart's expected trajectory.
After extensive research, I personally believe he was born at 10:23a.m or earlier when Sagittarius Lagna was rising. In this chart, Sun (9th Lord) and Mercury (10th Lord) are in Lagna, forming a potent Rajyoga. Additionally, the Lagna Lord Jupiter is in the 7th House, involved in a sign exchange with Mercury[7th Lord and 10th Lord], creating multiple Rajyogasdue to their mutual aspect with the Lagna Lord Jupiter, Sun (9th Lord), and Mercury (10th Lord) in Kendra (Angle). The placement of the 5th Lord Mars in the 8th house and the 8th Lord Moon in the 5th house is significant because it suggests challenges or delays in matters related to children. This configuration in the birth chart can indicate obstacles or difficulties in having children, which aligns with the fact that he has no child.
Now, let me test some significant events of his life with this proposed time of birth.
He became an inspector in the Finance Ministry in 2004. During the period of Mars-Jupiter-Jupiter[From 30th March 2004] in Vimshottari Dasha, Jupiter, as the Lagna Lord, participated in two Rajyogas due to its exchange with Mercury, the 10th Lord, and mutual aspect with Sun, the 9th Lord. The combination of Sun and Jupiter is renowned for providing government jobs, while the connection between Jupiter and Mercury could justify his role in the Finance Ministry.
He became an investment banker at Rothschild & Cie Banque in Paris in September 2008. During this period, the Vimshottari Dasha was Mars-Venus-Mercury. Mars, as the 5th Lord, positioned in the 8th house (5th House is 8th from the 10th House) aspecting the 2nd house (related to money), along with Venus, the 11th Lord (associated with gains and money), and Mercury, the 10th Lord, along with Sun (9th Lord, indicating financial prosperity). The connection between Mercury and Jupiter again highlights involvement with banks and financial institutions.
Serves as President Hollande’s deputy secretary-general on May 15th, 2012, during the Dashaperiod of Rahu-Rahu-Mars. Rahu is well placed in Virgo in the 10th house of honor, and Mars, as the 5th Lord (signifying dignity), is involved in a sign exchange with the 8th Lord Moon (associated with surprises). According to Bhavartha Ratnakar, as per Shloka 10 Chapter 13, a connection between Mars and Moon in the Lagna (1st house) or 8th house is said to make a person very fortunate.
Macron was baptized as Catholic at his own request at the age of 12. During this time, he was under the Vimshottari Dasha of Sun-Jupiter from November 1st, 1988. Sun, as the 9th Lord, signifies religion, while Jupiter represents spirituality, higher learning, and serves as the significator (Karak) of the 9th House. Additionally, Sun, in the Lagna as 9th Lord, is under the aspect of Jupiter Lagna Lord from the 7th house in his birth chart.
He got married on October 20th, 2007, in an unconventional union where his spouse is 23 years older. It was a love marriage, and the sign exchange between Lagna Lord Jupiter and 7th Lord Mercury fully justifies this unconventional choice. Furthermore, the retrogression of both Jupiter (Lagna Lord) and Mercury (7th Lord) hints at the unconventional nature of the marriage. In the Navamsa chart, Rahu in the 7th House reinforces the unconventional aspect, and Saturn in the 7th house signifies the age difference between the partners. At the time of his marriage on October 20th, 2007, the Vimshottari Dasha running was Mars-Venus-Venus. Venus, the significator of marriage, was placed in the 12th house and exalted in Navamsa, indicating significant events related to marriage and partnerships during that period. In Indian astrology, Venus is considered comfortable in the 12th house it serves as the 11th Lord (Kaam Trikone) in this chart , which signifies the fulfillment of desires and gains.
On August 26, 2014, Macron replaced Arnaud Montebourg as Minister of Economy, Industry, and Digital Affairs. During this time, the Vimshottari Dasha running was Rahu-Jupiter-Rahu. Rahu was in the 10th house in Virgo, exalted in Navamsa, making it a Rajyogakarka (planet-forming auspicious combinations for power and success). Jupiter was placed in the 7th house under the aspect of the 9th Lord Sun and the 10th Lord Mercury, forming very potent Rajyogas that justify his appointment to this significant role in government.
On August 30, 2016, Macron resigned as economy minister. During this time, the VimshottariDasha running was Rahu-Saturn-Moon. Moon, the Pratyantar Dasha Lord, is the 8th Lord, indicating change, and was placed in the 5th house, which is 8th from the 10th house (a significant house related to career and authority). Saturn, the Antardasha Lord, represents politics and was placed in the 9th house, influencing the events surrounding his resignation from the ministerial position.
April 23, 2017 - In the first round of the presidential election, Macron received more than 23% of the vote, while far-right candidate Marine Le Pen received just under 22%. He was under the influence of Rahu-Saturn-Rahu. Rahu is well placed in the 10th House and exalted in Navmansha, while Saturn, the planet associated with politics, is exalted in Dashmansha as the 5th Lord (dignity). According to B.P.H.S, the 9th house signifies ministers and the 5th house is the 9th from the 9th House, indicating the role of chief minister. May 7, 2017 - Macron defeated Le Pen with more than 66% of the vote, becoming France’s next president. He was under the same Dasha as explained earlier.
December 17, 2020 - Macron tested positive for coronavirus after experiencing symptoms and will self-isolate for a week, according to a statement from his office. The Dasha running was Rahu-Ketu-Jupiter. It is notable that Jupiter and Mercury are in a sign exchange. Therefore, Jupiter is considered as Mercury, and Mercury is under constellation exchange with Ketu. In astrology, Ketu is associated with viruses. The Lagna Lord is indirectly connected with Ketu, and this Dasha was active during the event. This justifies the event.
May 21, 2023 - Macron visits Mongolia, becoming the first French president to visit the country. The Vimshottari Dasha was Rahu-Venus-Saturn. Venus being in the 12th House (associated with foreign lands) and Saturn in the 9th House can be seen as factors justifying the event. It is noteworthy that both Venus and Saturn are in the 12th House of the D-4 chart, further emphasizing foreign connections and travel.
If the time of birth fixed by me is correct, then Macron should perform reasonably well in the upcoming French elections on June 30 and July 7. During this period, he will be under Rahu-Sun-Mars and Rahu-Sun-Rahu dashas.
In the first phase (Rahu-Sun-Mars), there might be some challenges indicated by Mars in the 8th house, especially under a sign exchange with the Moon. But since Mars in 8th house in sign exchange with Moon should certainly make him fortunate as per Bhavartha Ratnakar[Shloka 10, Chapter 13] . The anter Dasha Lord is Sun [9th Lord] closely conjunct with Mercury[10th Lord]in Lagna under the aspect of Jupiter the Lagna Lord forming many potent Rajyogas . Based on a survey from June 14 to 17, Macron's Ensemble coalition has 18% support, while the National Rally has 33%. Macron's coalition is trailing significantly.
In France, when people vote for their local representative. (Member of Parliament), if no candidate gets more than half the votes in the first round, the top two candidates, along with anyone who gets support from at least 12.5% of registered voters, compete in a second round. The candidate with the most votes in this second round wins and becomes the area's Member of Parliament.
However, in the second phase (Rahu-Sun-Rahu), he is expected to perform well. Rahu in the 10th house is considered very well placed for career and public life, indicating strong support and success in his endeavors. Additionally, in the Dashmansha chart, Rahu in the 3rd house under the aspect of its sign Lord Mars further supports his success, especially in matters related to leadership and authority.
Overall, if the corrected birth time is accurate and considering the astrological indications, Macron's prospects appear favorable for the upcoming French elections. Despite the opinion polls suggesting that his party is far behind the National Rally party of Jordan Bardella, Macron's astrological indications for the upcoming French elections remain positive under the Rahu-Sun-Mars and Rahu-Sun-Rahu dashas.
Conclusion: The outcome of these elections will undoubtedly offer significant insights into determining Macron's correct time of birth. Astrologically analyzing the results and correlating them with the planetary positions during the elections can provide a means to validate or refine the birth time. This process can also deepen our understanding of how planetary influences manifest in his life and career trajectory.
