Following the withdrawal of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, Jammu and Kashmir was restructured into two Union Territories: Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Recently, a significant democratic event occurred when Mr. Omar Abdullah emphasized "full faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India" in his oath, marking a shift from the previous phrasing of "true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the State."
Let me analyze the oath-taking ceremony of the new Chief Minister, which took place on October 16, 2024, at 11:38 AM in Srinagar, Kashmir, as the world eagerly anticipates the future developments.
This is a Sagittarius Lagna chart, with the Lagna Lord Jupiter positioned in the 6th house, influenced by the 6th Lord Venus. Jupiter is located in the constellation of Mrigashira (ruled by Mars), while Mars is in the constellation of Punarvasu (ruled by Jupiter). Consequently, the Lagna Lord is under the influence of both the 6th house and its Lord, Venus, as well as the 12th house Lord, Mars.
Jupiter, as the 4th Lord, represents agriculture, land, crops, the hotel industry, and educational institutions. It is positioned in the 6th house, influenced by Venus, the 6th Lord, and in constellation exchange with Mars, the 12th Lord. This suggests that key aspects of the 4th house—such as land, agriculture, the hotel sector, opposition parties, and overall well-being—are likely to face challenges.
Additionally, adverse weather conditions and landslides are anticipated in the state.
The government may encounter challenges related to assassination attempts, secret plots, working-class issues, and difficulties within medical and paramedical services, including hospitals.
The 6th house typically indicates areas related to medical and paramedical services, territorial conflicts, working-class issues, and strikes. In contrast, the 12th house is associated with ambushes, assassinations, espionage, hospitals and secret plots.
The 10th Lord, Mercury (representing the Chief Minister), is well placed but is combust due to its proximity to the Sun (representing the Lieutenant Governor). The Sun is positioned in the 10th house with directional strength, highlighting the authority and power of the Lieutenant Governor in Jammu and Kashmir.
Moreover, the aspect of the Moon (the 8th Lord, associated with the death of a ruler or important minister, and the end of government) in the 4th house influences the 10th house (representing the head of state and the ruling party), which is not a positive indication. However, the aspect of Jupiter from the 6th house serves as a saving grace.
The close conjunction of Rahu and the Moon (Mrityu Bhag) raises numerous issues related to land and agriculture, including the agricultural and hotel industries, forests, education institutes, real estate, and the state’s weather conditions, as well as potential earthquakes. Since the 4th house symbolizes the throne of the King, the presence of the Moon in Mrityu Bhag, combined with Rahu, poses significant challenges for the Chief Minister in exercising his power and the general happiness.
The 3rd Lord, Saturn, positioned in the 3rd house, also governs the 2nd house. The 3rd house pertains to communication, including the internet, press, radio, television, traffic, and railways.
While the government is expected to make significant progress in this area, it may do so at a slower pace.
Since the Moon represents the common man and the public, particularly women, and is positioned in Mrityu Bhag with significant strength in Paksha Balam, we may see emotional public agitation from groups such as women and nurses in the near future. The conjunction of the Moon in Mrityu Bhag with Rahu signals serious concerns regarding the safety of women in the state.
The general public is likely to be very emotional and dissatisfied with the government.
The 11th Lord Venus, representing treasury, foreign trade, and legislation, is positioned in the 12th house, which signifies loss, espionage, and secret plots. This placement is generally unfavorable for the state and the stability of the government. However, the aspect of Lagna Lord Jupiter on Venus acts as a saving grace.
Let’s analyze the chart of Jammu and Kashmir created on October 31, 2019. The Sun, which signifies the lieutenant governor, is located in the 4th house. Although it is debilitated and weak in directional strength, it still aspects the 10th house of power and authority.
However, the Sun has gained strength due to 6 out of 48 B.A.V. points and 30 out of 337 S.A.V points. This enhancement indicates that the lieutenant governor holds significant power in Jammu and Kashmir. Currently, the state is under the antar Dasha of the Sun, lasting until June 7, 2025. During this period, the lieutenant governor will have total control. The exchange between the 3rd Lord Mercury and the 5th Lord Mars indicates that communication—including internet facilities, traffic, and railways—will be prioritized, along with educational facilities, entertainment, arts, and overall enjoyment. The government is expected to focus on these areas. However, Mercury, the 3rd Lord of communication, is in a planetary war with Venus, the 11th Lord (representing the treasury) and the 4th Lord (related to municipal politics). This conflict poses a hindrance to effective communication and governance.
The aspects of Venus (11th Lord), Moon (Lagna Lord), Mercury (3rd Lord), and Jupiter (9th Lord) on the 11th house (representing the treasury) indicate that the union territory is rich in resources and possesses considerable wealth.
Conclusion: It appears that the Union Territory will remain under the control of the lieutenant governor. The Rikta Tithi (14th day) combined with all malefic planets in Kendra (angular houses) is not favorable for the smooth functioning of the government. The chief minister should be vigilant in managing land, crops, agriculture, and educational institutions, especially in light of adverse weather conditions, including landslides. Additionally, the safety of women and the well-being of medical [doctors] and paramedical [Nurses] workers should be prioritized.
